XRS expands your disk-based data protection options, giving you the flexibility to recover Syncsort AdvancedClient BLI virtual volume images from almost any storage subsystem.
XRS enables you to choose disk arrays that are precisely tailored to your needs. Depending upon the importance of the data or applications being backed up, you can choose high-quality, medium-grade, JBOD storage, or any combination.
Express Recovery Server (XRS): Flexible Storage for Fast Recovery and Application Access
Double Protection, Syncsort's disk-to-disk-to-tape solution, provides seamless archiving from the disk-based XRServer storage to tape. Later, if the data hosted on the XRServer is unavailable for any reason during recovery operations, the XRS restore job automatically proceeds with recovery from tape to the original recovery destination. Double Protection backup to tape can also be useful for long-term retention or offsite archiving. Backup scheduling, definitions, and retention settings are set specifically for Double Protection backups.
