Syncsort and VMware are working together to join Virtual Infrastructure with real life storage solutions through either SCSI or Fibre-channel SAN environments. Syncsort Backup Express fully supports VMWare Consolidated Backup (VCB). Users can now install Backup Express Client, Device, or Master server on virtualized Operating Platforms and perform backups of or through these virtual images running on either ESX, GSX, or Workstation level VMware servers.
Syncsort is responsible for the support of its VCB (VMware Consolidated Backup) integration and details for obtaining support can be found on Syncsort's technical support homepage. Please note that VMware is not responsible for the partner integration, but does support VCB interfaces and the partner software using those supported interfaces. VMware will handle issues that involve malfunctioning VCB interfaces.
