Chief Executive Officer
Josh Rogers is CEO of Syncsort. Prior to becoming CEO, Josh served as President of Syncsort, leading global business operations, including sales, marketing, support and engineering. Earlier in his career at Syncsort, Josh was VP of Worldwide Field Sales, and before he joined Syncsort, he held leadership positions at IBM and Endeca Technologies.
Josh has also worked for Bank of America Capital Investors, the private equity investing arm of Bank of America, and the Investment Banking Division for Wells Fargo.
Josh holds a BA in Economics from Davidson College and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Harvard Business School.
Chief Financial Officer
Bob Bies is Syncsort’s Chief Financial Officer. Bob has deep financial experience, with 20+ years in CFO roles. He has expertise in accounting, M&A and credit agreements, working with venture capital and private equity portfolio companies for technology-based, B2B growth businesses.
Prior to joining Syncsort, Bob was CFO at private equity-backed Cannondale Investments, where he was part of the leadership team that acquired OneSource from InfoGroup and formed Avention. He was also EVP, CFO and Treasurer at Greenfield online, an Insight Venture Partner portfolio company, prior to going public and being acquired by Microsoft in a very successful exit.
Bob is a Certified Public Account, with a B.S. in Biochemistry from Long Island University, C.W. Post College, graduating summa cum laude, and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University Graduate School of Business Administration, graduating with distinction.
Tendü Yoğurtçu, PhD
General Manager, Big Data
Tendü Yoğurtçu is Syncsort’s General Manager for the Big Data business. She has 20+ years of computer software industry experience, including extensive Big Data and Hadoop industry knowledge and technical acumen and has worked closely with key ecosystem partners like Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR and Tableau. As General Manager, she is responsible for building on the success of Syncsort’s global data integration, Hadoop and Cloud solutions.
Before assuming her current position, Tendü served as Vice President, Engineering, leading the global engineering team in development of all of Syncsort’s data integration products on Linux, Unix, Windows and Hadoop. She has pioneered Syncsort’s open source contributions to the Apache Hadoop project, placing Syncsort among the top contributors.
Prior to joining Syncsort, Tendü worked on several high-security software projects, where she managed the product life cycle across engineering disciplines. She also was an Adjunct Faculty for Computer Science Department at Stevens Institute of Technology.
Tendü received her PhD in Computer Science-Graph Theory from Stevens Institute of Technology, NJ. She has a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Bosphorus University, Istanbul.
General Manager, Mainframe
David Hodgson is Syncsort’s General Manager for the Mainframe business. David has 23 years of experience in senior management roles at CA Technologies and Sterling Software in engineering, operations, business development, product management, technical support and professional services. His expertise spans mainframe, data management, network management and cloud.
Most recently at CA technologies, David was Acting GM for the Mainframe business unit, managing a $2B portfolio of mainframe solutions.
David holds a BTech in Science & Society from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom, graduating summa cum laude.
General Manager, International
Geoff Cooke manages all aspects of Syncsort’s International Operations outside the Americas. Before expanding his responsibilities, he joined Syncsort in September 2013, playing a major role in the successful acquisition and integration of Circle Computer Group, William Data Systems and Cogito Ltd., and leading Syncsort’s EMEA operations.
Since starting his career in IT with IBM in 1980, Geoff has worked in a variety of technology industry companies, including global businesses like CA, Software AG and EMC. His career in Enterprise Software has spanned Mainframe, Core Operating Systems, Database technology and Content Management applications, focusing on major transactions delivering high customer value and rapid returns to clients all over the world. In 2002 Geoff personally invested in Circle Computer Group, taking over from the retiring directors and serving as its CEO until it was acquired by Syncsort in 2013.
Geoff graduated in Law with a First Class Honours degree (LLB) from the Open University in 2012.
