HR Generalist

Paris, France

Join our HR team in France. The HR generalist will provide support to all Syncsort employees in France (approximately 65 people in 3 offices: Paris, Annecy, Montpelier) and occasionally assist with employment issues in other EU countries.

Responsibilities

  • Work with managers to support timely and quality staffing requirements (with support of US Talent Acquisition team)
  • Onboarding – provide support and advice to managers, act as the point of contact for newcomers, organize induction days
  • Assess employee development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions; provide access to appropriate training and development initiatives (both online and classroom), including coaching and programs (in partnership with HR leadership team in the United States)
  • Promote and drive employee engagement (action plans and follow up)
  • Provide HR advice, administer tools and HRIS systems, and support managers and employees on all HR policies and procedures (including on boarding, termination, performance management, discipline, etc.)s
  • Provide local support and oversight of corporate HR initiatives
  • Ensure inquiries and issues are handled in a timely and effective manner according to process and legal requirements with professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality
  • Manage and implement ad hoc HR projects and programs to support overall business objectives
  • Assist on occasion with HR issues that arise in other EU countries (<20% of time)

This position has high impact on the business internally and externally. The HR Generalist will maintain the company HRIS system and all personnel records, requiring a high level of organization, attention to detail, and confidentiality. In addition, this position interacts with employment candidates and must ensure Syncsort is positively represented in the marketplace.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Practical knowledge of all functional disciplines of traditional Human Resources Management (Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits, Health and Safety, Talent Acquisition)
  • Practical and solid knowledge of all applicable HR compliance and regulations in France
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to an environment of respect and teamwork
  • Fluent in French and strong English skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage to deadlines with minimal oversight; comfortable working remotely as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, dynamic, high energy environment
  • University degree, focus on Human Resources is a plus
  • At least 4 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or the equivalent
