New ETL World Record: 5.4 TB Loaded in Under 1 Hour
Syncsort and Vertica Set New World Record
Syncsort and Vertica have shattered the previous benchmark held by Microsoft and Unisys by more than doubling the record for ETL performance. Syncsort's data integration product, DMExpress™ v4.8, extracted, transformed, cleansed, and loaded 5.4 TB of raw TPC-H data into the Vertica Analytic Database in 57 minutes 21.51 seconds. The feat was accomplished using highly cost-efficient HP BladeSystem c7000 x86 servers running the RedHat Linux operating system. This achievement underscores claims that the Syncsort-Vertica solution can handle significant volumes of heterogeneous data faster and at a fraction of the cost of any other potential solution.
Syncsort DMExpress:
The fastest, most reliable and cost efficient enterprise data integration software*
Is twice as fast as other DI tools, enabling more timely business intelligence
Uses less memory and CPU, decreasing hardware requirements and costs
Saves up to 80% on software costs
* Based on actual comparisons against leading competitors, including Informatica, IBM DataStage, and others. Claims are based on results of specific tests and may vary depending on environment.
