Flavio Santoni
CEO
Flavio Santoni is Syncsort’s Chief Executive Officer. With 25 years of executive IT management experience, Flavio is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of Syncsort worldwide. Prior to Syncsort, his career included an eight-year tenure at LSI as Executive Vice President and Co-General Manager of the Engenio Storage Group as well as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support for its storage systems division.
Before joining LSI, Flavio was executive vice president and chief operating officer at Sutmyn Storage Corporation, a company that pioneered Virtual Tape technology in the Mainframe space, and held various senior management positions with Memorex Telex in the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy.
Flavio earned a degree in Electronics from IX Istituto Tecnico in Milan, Italy. He also has completed the Stanford University AeA/Stanford Executive Institute program for the management of high technology companies.
Stephan R. Loyka
CFO
Stephan R. Loyka is Syncsort’s Chief Financial Officer. With more than 35 years of experience in finance and accounting, Stephan is responsible for building and scaling Syncsort’s finance and administration infrastructure. Prior to joining Syncsort as Controller in 1988, Stephan held both corporate and operational controller positions in manufacturing, telecommunications, and service industry sectors. His extensive experience includes all finance and accounting functions including systems implementation, intellectual property, human resources and contract law. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Villanova University, he began his career as a staff auditor in the New York office of Price Waterhouse. Stephan is a certified public accountant in the State of New York.
Richard Fortier
VP, Engineering - Data Protection
As the Vice President of Engineering in Syncsort’s data protection products, Rich brings decades of experience managing innovation teams for the BEX Development group. He has scaled teams from zero in early stage startups to several hundred in technology areas spanning networking, storage and SAN systems, distributed systems management, and enterprise software development.
Prior to joining Syncsort, Rich served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Vettro, a leading provider of SaaS applications for smart phones. His background includes a number of roles in storage and storage networking environments, including Vice President of Engineering at Revivio, Senior Director of Storage Management Software in the Network Storage Division of Sun Microsystems, and Vice President of Engineering at HighGround Systems.
Rich also spent several years in France developing supercomputers and was a senior member of the team that created Epoch Systems (acquired by EMC). He spent many years at Bolt Beranek Newman, where he focused on the leading teams developing networking, network management, and network security solutions.
Rich holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Yale University.
Mitch Seigle
VP, Marketing and Product Management
Mitch Seigle is Syncsort’s vice president, Marketing and Product Management. An experienced executive with more than 30 years in Information Technology, Mitch possesses strong leadership and technical expertise across the storage and data warehousing market segments. His knowledge and skills span a broad set of disciplines including product management, product marketing, corporate communications and sales enablement.
Prior to Syncsort, Mitch gained valuable management experience while progressing through a series of increasingly responsible positions at LSI. Mitch last served as vice president, Corporate Marketing, a role in which he held responsibility for all corporate marketing and communications initiatives. During his accomplished career, Mitch has also held various marketing and product management positions with companies such as Engenio Information Technologies, EMC and Unisys.
Josh Rogers
VP, Worldwide Sales
Josh Rogers is Syncsort’s Vice President of Worldwide Field Sales. Before assuming his current position, he served as Director of Sales for Syncsort’s Data Management solutions in North America and then VP of Field Sales for the Americas. Josh previously led Financial Services Sales for Endeca Technologies, and he spent six years with the IBM Software Group where he served as the Business Unit Executive for Master Data Management Sales in North America and as leader of the New England Websphere sales organization. Josh has also worked for Bank of America Capital Investors, the private equity investing arm of Bank of America, and the Investment Banking Division for Wells Fargo.
Josh holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in economics from Davidson College.
Harvey B. Tessler
Founder
As one of the original founders of Syncsort, Harvey has held several executive positions that include Engineering, Product Management, Worldwide Customer Services and Marketing. He has extensive product and market knowledge in IBM mainframe and Open Systems.
Harvey holds a BA in Mathematics from New York University and an MBA in Management, cum laude from New York University.
